英語セミナー中級では社会問題を幅広くカバーしたテキストを使って、自分たちの身近な問題としてとらえディベート形式で活発に意見を交換する。 英語セミナー上級、特別上級では社会言語学、言語学の入門書を使って、言語を研究することについて考える。
研究活動
専攻・研究領域：
言語学。とくに機能主義言語学、語用論、認知言語学的アプローチ。研究領域のキーワードは談話分析、歴史語用論、文法化、日本語の話し言葉。

日本語の引用助詞と形式名詞の発達

引用助詞の語用論的変化について学会発表、出版準備中。
